In another small group of gabbehs, the weavers have based their work on a square by using one or several squares to create their central design. In some of the gabbehs of this group, a single square is placed in the middle of the field, and in others several squares are used one above the other. There are still others with a square that contain other, concentric squares. This latter example is transitional between this group and the concentric designs discussed next.
